For my sister-in-law's baby shower, the baby cupcakes made another appearance (with a bit of a twist this time). Pink and blue only, since we don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl.

I also made a mini 3-D bear holding a blanket that matched her crib sheet pattern.
Here's a Thelwell inspired cake for my horse-loving cousin's 14th birthday -- it's supposed to be a stubborn pony dumping her in a pond (thankfully she has a good sense of humour). Her favourite colour of horse is a dapple grey, with black to white gradient hair....oh sure, no problem.
To thank the committee of volunteers at work who helped organize this year's National Aboriginal Day celebration, I made this cake replicating the event poster.
Okay, so it's May, and the Leafs haven't made the playoffs in many, many years. But a Leaf cake was requested nonetheless for this diehard Phil Kessel fan's 12th birthday. Just add candles, light 'em up, and let the jokes fly.... ["the Leafs haven't been this hot since 2003", "Wow, Phil Kessel's on fire for the first time", etc]
Not my finest picture, I know, but I was tired and only managed to scramble these little edible creatures together in a matter of hours Easter Sunday morning. Still so cute...

"The Birds are Angry you're leaving...but we're just sad!"
I made this cake for a farewell party we had for one of my colleagues who was leaving for a new work opportunity. Yes, he plays a lot of Angry Birds (who doesn't??), but mostly it was a really good excuse for me to make this cake!!
Nothing says "Happy Valentine's Day" like a Cupid Android with a basket of one-bite heart-shaped cupcakes-on-a-stick!
